Hello! Welcome to my blog. My name is Jordan Smith, I was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado, but I have been living in Laramie, Wyoming for the past four years. I am a senior at the University of Wyoming and will be graduating in December of 2019 with a degree in communication and a minor in marketing-communication. After sharing that information, most people ask their follow-up question, ‘what do you do with that?’, to which my answer recently has been ‘I am open to suggestions.’
While I am graduating in a few months, I do not have a specific idea of what I am going to do. I am actively looking for jobs and taking classes this semester that will hopefully lead to deciding which road to take. This blog is a requirement, however, I am excited to learn more about the blogging process, as it is something that has always interested me. Along with learning the process, this blog is going to help me further my knowledge of different forms of media, and promote my work through reflection.
I work as a marketing intern for the University, as well as another job in Laramie. While I do not often find myself with a ton of free time, I get days here and there where I get to do my own thing. On such days, I am often reading or spending time with my family. My family loves to travel in our free time. On this page I have posted pictures from several of the places we have visited. The images featured on this page were taken all over the world. There are some from Greece, Italy, New York, North Carolina, and Laramie.
Anyone who lives in Laramie knows that a lot of our free time is spent going downtown to eat or grab a drink. As a student, I know that most students are looking for good drinks without having to pay top dollar. In this blog I have labeled the top five places in Laramie, Wyoming… Read more

This was my first time conducting an audio interview that was not just for the purpose of writing about it later. In the past I have recorded interviews to reference when writing a news story, but… Read more

Kickoff Concert This picture was taken at the Cowboy kickoff concert at UW in the Arena Auditorium, of the opening band, The Mowgli’s. Interning for 7220 entertainment gave me unique access to the bands and the concert venue. Having never photographed a concert before, this was definitely a learning experience. Because we had a contract… Read more
The UW campus is full of areas providing interesting content for photography. This assignment brought me to an area of campus I had never been to before.
